Proven Technology, Massive Track Record
SBR is the most widely installed decentralized STP technology in India — 1,600+ installations across 20+ countries for reference platforms. You choose certainty, not an experiment.
India's most specified decentralized STP technology. The Sequencing Batch Reactor performs every treatment step — fill, aerate, settle, decant — inside a single PLC-controlled reactor, with naturally occurring bacteria doing 100% of the work. No coagulants. No chlorine dosing. No chemical storage. Just biology, air and gravity, engineered for guaranteed BOD <10 mg/L.
GS-10-SBR · GS-25-SBR · GS-50-SBR · GS-100-SBR — packaged and civil-tank configurations for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare and institutional projects.
Where SBR fits best
Consider another technology when
How it works
The SBR is a fill-and-draw variant of the activated sludge process — the world's most proven biological wastewater treatment method. Unlike continuous-flow systems that need separate tanks for aeration, clarification and sludge handling, the SBR performs ALL treatment steps in a SINGLE reactor through time-sequenced phases controlled by a PLC. Think of it as a smart washing machine for sewage — fill, wash, rinse, drain, repeat.
What happens · 60–120 min
Raw sewage enters the reactor. An initial anoxic period (no air) promotes denitrification — bacteria convert nitrate to nitrogen gas, removing nitrogen. Then aeration begins.
Why it matters
Achieves nitrogen removal without additional chemicals. The 'green' advantage — biology does the work.

Single-tank, five-phase batch treatment. Fill, react, settle, decant and idle all happen in the same reactor — no separate clarifier, no return sludge pumping.

Why SBR?
Engineering advantages that show up in your compliance record, your energy bill and your maintenance calendar.
SBR is the most widely installed decentralized STP technology in India — 1,600+ installations across 20+ countries for reference platforms. You choose certainty, not an experiment.
Naturally occurring bacteria do ALL the treatment work. No coagulants, flocculants or chlorine. No chemical storage, cost or hazard — just biology, air and gravity.
The programmable cycle runs anoxic and aerobic phases in the SAME reactor, achieving biological denitrification without a separate anoxic tank or added chemicals.
Weekday/weekend swings, holidays, hotel occupancy dips — batch operation absorbs them. The PLC adjusts cycle timing so quality stays constant at 40% or 100% load.
Unlike continuous-flow clarifiers where water is always moving, SBR stops everything during Settle. Zero flow, zero disturbance, lowest achievable TSS by gravity.
Equalization, aeration, clarification and sludge holding combine in one reactor. No primary or secondary clarifier, no RAS pumps. Fewer tanks, less space, lower civil cost.
Every Green STP SBR ships with PLC automation as standard. Fill, aerate, settle, decant and sludge wasting run 24/7 automatically. The operator supervises, not controls.
Designed to the strictest current Indian norms. When standards tighten, the cycle can be re-programmed to extend aeration or add phases — no structural modification.
Performance guarantee
Every installation is validated by an independent NABL-accredited laboratory. Three consecutive daily samples at full load, compared against the guarantee, before handover.

Guarantee conditions: inlet must be domestic sewage within the design basis (BOD 200–350 mg/L, no industrial or toxic discharge); adequate power supply maintained; preventive maintenance per the Sarvo O&M manual followed; the plant not operated above rated capacity.
Reuse applications: Toilet flushing (direct) · Landscape irrigation · Vehicle washing · Floor washing · Road dust suppression · Construction curing · Firefighting reserve. For cooling tower makeup and premium reuse, add post-treatment (sand filter + activated carbon or UF).
